Code Of Conduct
PLAYERS CODE OF CONDUCT
- Bring the appropriate equipment when attending training e.g. boots, shin pads, clothing, drink etc
- Be ready to start on time and to use the time before sessions to begin their own personal warm up.
- Be punctual for all training venues or pick-up points, whichever is applicable, and wear appropriate clothing for the occasion.
- Remove all jewellery before arrival at coaching sessions. Keep your kit and boots clean.
- Report any injuries sustained to the coach as soon as possible so that an injury report can be completed.
- Inform your coach upon your arrival if you have any injuries, (no matter where the injury occurred).
- Do not use foul or abusive language.
- Always be sporting and promote fair play.
- Accept success and failure, equally.
- Give maximum effort and try your best during training.
- To be aware that Merley Cobham Sport FC has a Child Protection Policy.
- Adhere to the Code of Conduct at all times.
PARENTS/GUARDIANS CODE OF CONDUCT - YOUTH SECTION
- Be responsible for ensuring their child arrives on time and are collected promptly.
- Inform the coach or a member of his/her coaching staff prior to the session if their child is unable to attend for any reason.
- Inform the coaches if the designated parent/carer is unable to collect the child.
- If your child arrives at training with any visible signs of injury. You must advise a coach. Failure to do this will result in your child being asked to explain the injuries before he/she can participate in the training. Our coaches will then take the appropriate action.
- Support the coaches by offering support to the players.
- Not to coach from the sideline.
- Do not swear or shout negative comments, be positive at all times.
- Provide positive support for your child without pressure, praising effort as well as performance.
- Encourage and give attention to each of the children involved, not just the most talented.
- Respect the referee’s decision at all times. If you don’t, the players won’t.
- Always promote fair play and never condone violations of the Laws of the Game.
- Recognise that your child’s involvement in football is primarily for his/her enjoyment.
